Passport Pictures

Dear Lucy Hope,

Today we got our pictures taken so that we could get permission from the Chinese government to come to China one day to bring you home. We needed the pictures to send off for a passport for Austin and Lia Faith. My passport and Connie’s passport are still good. Lily Grace’s too. But Austin’s had expired and Lia Faith never had an American passport. With these pictures, we’ll be able to get those taken care of. And then eventually, we’ll get the Visas to come to China and bring you home. Lily Grace and Lia Faith are always acting silly when we get these pictures made and they certainly did not disappoint in this case. It was hard to get them to sit still for the pictures and while we thought it was cute, I imagine the young girl taking the pictures was somewhat less amused (I could tell by the look on her face). Austin’s always in a hurry it seems, so his picture is quick and to the point. Another step complete!
