Dear Lucy Hope,
After months of waiting, we finally received word today that
the Chinese government had approved our Letter of Intent (LOI) to adopt you
into our family! Our Letter of Acceptance (LOA) finally came! Soon, we will be allowed to come to China and bring you home. We are so thankful for this news. Now, we can be sure that
we’re in the final stages of this process. Hopefully, we can come to China early next year to bring you home. I don't know what the weather is going to be like in Maoming in January or February, but it'll probably be cold here.
When we told Lily Grace and Lia Faith the news, they were excited. Of course, they thought we'd just go right then and bring you home. We had to explain that there was still some waiting to be done, but that we could begin planning our trip soon. We still have to have a few documents approved by the U.S. and the Chinese, but those shouldn't take too long.
Soon Lucy Hope, soon...
Love,
Jerry, Connie, Austin, Lily Grace, Lia Faith, and Lucy Hope
