e! Happy Birthday to Me. Today’s my birthday and I bought a very special
present just for myself. Want to know what it is? Fingerprints. Yep, Mommy’s
and Daddy’s fingerprints will eventually be collected to be a part of our
paperwork so we can adopt you. Today, we filed the paperwork to start that.
Now, we wait… Again…
Oh, I almost forgot. We also signed up with the Hague to go
through their training for intercountry adoption…just to make sure we know how
to take care of you. This one’s probably gonna take weeks or months to get
through. Lots of things to read on the computer and lots of videos to watch.
The training is designed to ensure that we are fully aware of what we’re doing
by agreeing to adopt. Stop laughing, of course we’ll never be fully aware, but
at least we can know what we’re not fully aware of!
